Pakistani drama serial ‘Parwarish’ has been garnering praises from viewers with a ferocity because the plot of this particular TV serial is actually quite relatable to whatever is happening in our society currently, did you know that Nooray Zeeshan (Aniya from Parwarish) has been a victim of bullying in real life as well?

Nooray Zeeshan has played the role of Aniya, Parwarish’s lead actor Samar Jafri’s younger sibling. The character portrayed by Nooray in the serial showcases a disturbed teenager who had to face dire consequences after consuming drugs at some party urging her father (character played by senior Pakistani actor Nauman Aijaz) to return to his homeland Pakistan so that his family could stay in close proximity with the real values and restrictions of our culture.

After some time of residing in Pakistan and attending a local school, Nooray faces brutal bullying, it being so severe that it shakes her to the core, the drama brilliantly highlighting the concept of bullying and the consequences that come with it.

Furthermore, while in conversation with Rabia Mughni (Fuchsia Magazine), Nooray revealed that she has faced real life bullying as well. The graceful young lady reveals that she has faced many incidents of students attempting to treat her unfairly while she thinks that after two to three times of not reacting, one should always resort to violence in the end.

Nooray shed light on the past occurrences of getting bullied, she recalls how her peers used to stomp on her white sports shoes so that they would get dirty and she would get punished during checking.

She also recalled her school mates scribbling with pens on her school stole whereas once while the teenager was carrying her food tray during lunch hour, someone sprinted towards her making her fall on the ground which ended up Nooray getting a severe bruise on her head.

When Rabia gently inquired from the young star if she told anyone at home regarding the topic at hand, Nooray said no she did not because she was scared of their reaction.

Nooray mentions that when she was in fifth grade, all the senior classes used to treat her quite badly, they used to make fun of her by coming up with different names and also succumbing to spreading false rumors about her.

The host was in intense shock when Nooray told her that the school administration along with other people did not take her seriously when she told them about the ill treatment, they used to tell her that the students were just joking around and this is not something to be taken so seriously.

While on the other hand, Nooray also revealed that once she took a pencil from her stationary bag and stabbed a peer on his/her arm with it, the pencil nip went all the way inside.

Rabia Mughni shed light on another habit observed by young girls these days which revolves around them not stepping out of the house without makeup on because they are too conscious about how they look.

In response. Nooray stated that all of this is due to insecurities in today’s generation which is all because of the standards set up by the social media.

The ladies talked about body shaming, acne shaming and people making it their first priority to point out any flaw they see associated with you.

On the other hand, when Rabia asked Nooray to offer some words for kids out there facing bullying, the actress stated that one needs to stand up for themselves and give a shut up call to the bully, once, twice or even thrice but if these don’t end up making an impact then the only option is violence.
