Widely cherished Pakistani celebrity Mahira Khan has been spotted indulging in an absorbing conversation with Pakistani actor and host Ahmed Ali Butt, during which she reflected upon her marriage and her childhood in great detail.
When Ahmed Ali Butt inquired from Mahira regarding the ‘sweet time’ she took to tie the knot the second time, Mahira Khan decided to put forward all of the reasons why she was a bit skeptical to get wedded again.
Talking about her first marriage, Mahira Khan put major emphasis on how she did not for one second regret getting married to her former husband because through it she has been blessed with her son Azlan.
Mahira declared: “I became a little hopeless about marriage, I became a little doubtful about marriage. If I will get married, it will all be the same. I will have to pause and the biggest reason was Azlan. I was skeptical regarding how my son will adjust.”
She further said: “I chose to leave a marriage and that was my choice and for the longest time I used to feel guilty about it. I used to feel guilty about Azlan, that he will never see a family because of what I did, because it was my choice to end the marriage.”
“So I decided to never make a choice again that will affect him drastically. This is also why I took my sweet time.”
Furthermore, Mahira revealed an utterly smart requirement which revolved around how she wanted her son to independently form a close relation with her better half.
The relationship between the step father and the son should be based upon independent attachment for each other.
Moreover the massively acknowledged Pakistani star also talked about her childhood, mentioning that she does not belong from a conversative family and her father is a complete ‘hippie’ whereas her mother was a teacher.
Recalling instances from her childhood, Mahira talked in-depth about how her father was a very intelligent man and he had done double MBA however he chose to gave up his top-level job as a Senior Vice President at UBL
“While he was in America, he got off on an island with a backpack and he started living there. He used to carve wood and play a flute. He stayed there for a year and a half. When he returned, I have heard that my grandmother fainted at the door, not being able to digest the appalling condition my father returned in.” Mahira elaborated.
The star also mentioned: “On the other hand my mother’s family is completely opposite. My mother came from a background where she was very spoiled by her father and she is a stunning woman. She used to be a teacher.”
