Famous Pakistani actor Sami Khan has made an appearance at the set of ‘Nukta Life’, during the span of the interview the media personality conversed about various enlightening stances which he prioritizes however his thought-provoking opinion about glamourizing negative roles in Pakistani dramas deserves attention, keep on reading to find out why.
As the conversation was progressing, the host decided to ask: “Jab app koi aisa role karte hain negative kisam ka, uskay baad jo reaction ata hai usko kaise handle karte hain?” (When you do a negative role, how do you deal with the reaction afterward?)
Sami had a strong point of view regarding the topic at hand. He first and foremost put emphasis on how our industry has been glamourizing negative roles quite a lot these days because it has apparently become a trend.
However, the experienced actor continued: “Jaise Inkaar dramay ki line bhi thi, mein aur Yumna scene mein the aur wo dialogue yeh tha mujhe sahi yaad nahi lekin uska mafoom aisa tha ke ajj kal humne manfi qirdaron ko itna glamourize kardia hai ke ajj kal koi dil jeetne ki baat nahi karta, cheennay ki baat karta hai.” (I remember a scene from Inkaar which featured me and actress Yumna Zaidi, there was a dialogue from that particular scene which I can’t remember properly whereas it’s moral was that we have glamourized negative people to such an extent that no one talks about winning hearts these days, everyone just wants to snatch love).
Moving on, the celebrity shed light on how it is very important to understand that we do not have to find logic behind why a person is rotten at heart because some people just posses bad mentality and there is no explanation for it.
He further emphasized that whenever we come across a negative person, we tend to assume that their distressing personality is because of how he or she has been brought up while this is not always the case because it is totally possible that the parents did as much as they could but their child still turned out to be a bad human.
Here are Sami’s exact declarations: “So there is a difference. Humein ek cheez samajhne ki zaroorat hai ke har buray insaan ke liay humein logic dhoodne ki zaroorat nahi ke woh bura kyoun hai. Kuch log by nature buray hote hain, zaroori nahi ke usko bachpan ki tarbiat ne hi kharab kia hai kyounke shayad parents did their best.”
Towards the end of this particular topic, Sami made sure to include that if one comes across a negative person, we just need to accept it and learn from him/her instead of diving deep into why that particular man or woman turned out to be this rotten.
Sami thinks it is high time that this pattern needs to be changed.
